Together, we are REFORMA de Florida! ¡Juntos!

Contribute your talents and ideas to make the Chapter the #1 source of resources for libraries serving Latinos and the Spanish-speaking in our state!

We have different opportunities for you! Which one will you choose?

1) Do you like being always up-to-date with the chapters’ activities? Do you want to network with other librarians serving in your area? Do you have ideas for local events? Become your region’s delegate!

The Regional Delegates help coordinate events for their region, work with the Treasurer for the region’s fundraising and programs, and serve as part of the chapter’s Advisory Board.

One Regional Delegate each needed for: North, Central, and South Florida.

2) Do you like being the first to share exciting news? Are you on social media all the time? Are you creative and have fun ideas?

Become part of the Public Relations Committee

The Chair and members of this committee will maintain the Chapter’s communications going, including (but not limited to) social media, press releases, a website (we don’t have one yet!), a newsletter, or any other ideas that help spread the word about our upcoming exciting opportunities!

Apply to be a Member and/or the Committee’s Chair.

3) Are you responsible, organized, and good with numbers? Do you enjoy financial planning or raising funds for good causes?

We would love for you to be part of the Finance Committee

It is a necessary role, and you’ll assist the Treasurer with keeping track of funds. We’ll appreciate it if you put your organizational skills to the service of library services for  Latinos and the Spanish-speaking.

Apply to be a member of the committee!

4) Do meeting and networking with new people bring you joy? Are you excited about sharing the benefits of being a Reformista?

Apply to be part of the Membership Committee

If you are interested in growing the number of members; if you have ideas for reaching out to librarians, students, and new members; or if you have been in many organizations and have experience with welcoming others, this is the job for you!

The Membership Committee reaches out to new members, sends invitations, greetings,  and reminders, and helps recruit a dynamic membership.

Hard to decide? You can also volunteer for any position and let the Board find a spot for you.  We’ll also have ad-hoc committees for special opportunities.

Please send an email to refomafl@gmail.com with the title “I want to make RdeF thrive”. In your email, please specify to which positions you are applying, and add a paragraph with a  short Statement of Candidacy, explaining what you can contribute to the Team. The Executive Board will review applications and the President will make appointments in the  next month. Don’t be left out! We have room for everyone!
